Our Annual Benefit Cocktail Party was a tremendous success and raised funds that are a vital component of our lean budget for operations and programs. Held on November 1 in our own building, the gala evening featured live music by the Dave Turner Jazz Trio, an online auction and an exhibition of art by GIGOT aka Mary Hughson. We are grateful to our generous sponsors and donors as well as all who purchased tickets.
Guest of Honour Scott Jones gave an inspirational speech about the important role our organization has played in the development of Montreal over the course of 195 years since our founding as a mechanics’ institute. He also made a rousing call for community support!
Terry Mosher aka Aislin served as emcee and our President, Bruce Bolton, paid tribute to Scott Jones.
