Westmount Urban Development

On January 8, 2025, the Atwater Library hosted an online discussion about Westmount’s proposal to redevelop the area around our building, Westmount Southeast. Dinu Bumbaru of Héritage Montréal, and leading conservation architect Julia Gersovitz shared their expertise and responded to questions. Many of the 150 people in attendance asked questions and there was a strong show of support for our organization’s opposition to a 25-storey tower next to us and in favour of a reset of the planning process.
